OCI Beaumont’s community development program has focused on organizations that strive to provide food, help seniors and families, and encourage healthy living. These organizations include the Southeast Texas Food Bank, Toys for Tots, the Sports Society for American Health, the Beaumont Independent School District, Meals on Wheels, and the Port Arthur Community Center. OCI Beaumont encourages students at all scholastic levels, from supporting educational events at elementary schools to funding several engineering and other college scholarships.

OCI Beaumont’s safety record is considered best in class when compared to national averages within its industry classification. As a direct result of the facility’s commitment to safety, it was approved by OSHA in March 2016 as a VPP Star Site. OCI Beaumont is part of an elite group of organizations that provide exemplary occupational safety and health protection and serve as models for others.

OCI Beaumont is also committed to minimizing its carbon footprint and any impact on the environment, and has heavily invested in installing state-of-the-art technology to produce both ammonia and methanol as green as technologically possible. The facility is continually seeking greener and more environmentally friendly production processes. To that end, the facility has implemented Best Available Control Technology (BACT), a pollution control standard to further reduce its environmental impact.
